The Area Agency on Aging is proud of each of our wonderful Volunteers in our four counties that enable us to help older citizens remain happy and as independent as possible wherever they may live. Our Volunteer Program offers individuals of all ages rewarding opportunities to help in our Senior Community Centers, and to serve as Home-Delivered Meal Drivers, Friendly Visitors, and Telephone Reassurance Volunteers, Volunteer Ombudsmen.
Foster Grandparent Program

Foster Grandparents make a difference in the lives of special needs children by serving as their “Grandmas and Grandpas” in day care settings, schools and other locations in the four county area. Foster Grandparents meet income guidelines and they receive special training and a tax-free stipend for their time. Medical Expenses are deductible from annual income when eligibility is determined.
